Four of the fourteen things I do

Ongoing IT Support

Keeping the technology you run on working, so the work does not stop with it.

Email & accounts · Backups & recovery · Devices & new starters · Wi-Fi & networks

Monthly cover or a block of hours, priced per business after a conversation. How it all prices up.

What this is

When something breaks, the work stops. I look after the email, backups, machines and Wi-Fi you run on, either monthly or as a block of hours you draw down. Most of it is fixed from here, faster than waiting for somebody to drive over; when it needs hands on the equipment I come out anywhere in Suffolk. It all sits in accounts you own, so you can remove me and nothing leaves with me.

One-off or block hours

Email & accounts

Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace on your own domain: new starters and leavers, shared mailboxes, and moving off whatever you are on now without losing mail on the way. Every account is created in your business’s name, so you hold the keys.

Monthly or block hours

Backups & recovery

Business files and customer records backed up, and — the part that usually is not done — a restore actually tested, so you know it works before the day you need it.

Block hours

Devices & new starters

PCs, Macs and phones specified, set up and retired. That includes moving somebody onto a new machine without losing a day to it, and making sure the old one leaves with nothing on it.

One-off or block hours

Wi-Fi & networks

Office and shop Wi-Fi that reaches where the work actually happens, with guest access kept apart from your own machines, and the printer visible to the people who need it and nobody else.

Common questions

Why is there no price for this?

Because I would only have to revise it. Looking after a two-person office and a ten-person team are different jobs, so I want to see what you run before I put a figure on it. You get a written figure after that conversation, and the conversation costs nothing.

Monthly cover or a block of hours — which do I want?

Monthly cover suits a business with enough technology that something needs doing most weeks, and would rather stop thinking about it. A block of hours suits one where things go wrong now and then: you buy the hours, draw them down as jobs come up, and see what each one used. Individually costed fixes are fine too. Which fits gets settled in that first conversation, not from a list on a website.

Do you come out, or is it all remote?

Remote first, on site by arrangement across Suffolk. Most problems are fixed faster remotely, and where a job needs somebody at the equipment we book a visit. An urgent call-out is a separate line item agreed at the time. It is not something cover promises, and I would rather say that here than write down a response time I could not keep while I am on another job.

When can I get hold of you?

Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. Message outside those hours and I will come back to you the next working day. If something is urgent, say so in the message and it goes to the front.

Do you need my passwords?

No, and I would rather not have them. Your accounts stay in your business’s name and I am added to them on my own login, with the access the job needs. If we stop working together you remove me, and nothing leaves with me.

Can I stop?

Yes. Cover ends with 30 days’ notice from either of us, and anything I hold on your behalf — access, notes on how your setup is put together — is handed back when it does.

Want to talk about it?

Tell me about your business and I will tell you honestly whether this is what you need.
