What this is
Off-the-shelf software makes you work its way. If you already have a way of doing things that works, building the tool is often cheaper than retraining everyone around a subscription that nearly fits. It runs on a phone as well as a desk, because the people using it usually are not at one. Handed over finished and documented, the same as a website.

Common questions
Can you build me software without a website?
Not under this name. That is Kalkman Code, which is also me, and it quotes that work per job after paid discovery. Same person, same standards, different door — and it keeps clear who owns what you are buying.
Is this not going to be more expensive than an off-the-shelf tool?
Higher up front, usually lower over a few years, because there is no per-user monthly fee. I will do that sum with you honestly before you commit — sometimes the off-the-shelf tool genuinely is the right answer and I will say so.
What if I want to change it later?
That is normal and expected. Changes are quoted as they come up, and you are not locked into me — the code is yours.
